The idea for Nexenergi came from a 15 MW BESS project that was supposed to take 6 weeks to commission. It took 22 weeks. The problem? The site-level controller had never been tested with the actual BMS.
Protection logic hadn’t been validated against real fault scenarios. Communication protocols were configured wrong. Every issue was discovered on-site, burning time and budget. We knew there was a better way.
